This is a pure Assyrtiko wine, best served slightly chilled. Mikra Thira is the joint project of three passionate winemakers - Vaggelis Gerovassiliou, Vassilis Tsaktsarlis, and Ioanna Vamvakouri. The winery can be found on the island of Therasia, which was separated from Santorini’s main island in an ancient volcanic eruption and is now home to its own special microclimate. Mikra Thira is a young venture. The team completed their first harvest in 2018, but they have already become an established name, at home and abroad. This Assyrtiko is packed with flavor and has a dense mouthfeel, balanced aby crisp acidity. It is bright yellow with hints of green in the glass, and you can discover crunchy flavors of lemon rind, stone fruit and sea salt. The finish is long and full of mineral details. Santorini wine is perfect for pairing with seafood, enjoy this one alongside grilled fish, lobster, or anything served with a twist of lemon.
